How effective is the combination of your main product and ancillary
texts?
According to the coursework brief I had an understanding
that I would have to effectively combine my ancillary texts and my main product
so that they cooperated to enhance their synergistic effect. My main project,
being our music video, is part of sub-genre, electro-pop. I also reflected this
style in my digipack and poster.
In both my music video and my digipak and poster I used the
same location and the same kind of shots in order to combine the two. The
combination was effective because as a collective they were conventional of the
electro-pop genre. The conventions could be seen in the costume as well as
location and the filters that were used during editing of both the music video
and ancillary texts.
